Vinayaga Chaturthi is one of the important Hindu
festivals celebrated throughout India with a great devotion. Vinayaga Chaturthi
is celebrated for ten days to honour the elephant headed Lord Ganesa’s
birthday. He is the lord of arts and
science and the deva of wisdom. He is
honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies as he is considered the God of
beginnings.
Ganesa
Chaturthi was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kanyakumari in an
auspicious manner. Every year, our
Vidyalaya celebrates the festival by preparing the idol of Lord Ganesa with
dedicative effort of the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. The Vinayaga Chaturthi was celebrated from
13.09.2018 to 21.09.2018.
Every class got a chance to give their offerings. The first day celebration was arranged by IX
and XI standard students and teachers on 13.09.2018. LKG and UKG students and
teachers offered Lord Ganesa on 14.09.2018.
The I standard students and teachers arranged the Pooja on
15.09.2018. On 16.09.2018 the Pooja was
arranged by VII standard students and teachers.
On 17.09.2018 the Pooja was arranged by II standard students and
teachers. On 18.09.2018 the Pooja was
arranged by III standard students and teachers.
On 19.09.2018 and 20.09.2018 the Pooja was done by IV standard and V
standard students and teachers respectively.
The final day Pooja was conducted by VI, X and XII standard students and
teachers in a grand manner. The students
offered flowers and Prasatham. The Visarjan
of Lord Ganesa was done at 11 am on 21.09.2018.
The celebration ended with the great blessings of Lord Ganesa whose
brilliance is always removes all obstacles from our endeavours
truly.
