International Day of Yoga Celebration 2026

 International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of practicing yoga.

​A soulful invocation song rendered by the school choir to set a serene and spiritual tone for the event. Following the invocation, Siva Abirami of IX welcomed the gathering. Deepak of class IX delivered a brief speech emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily routines.



​Mann. Nivedita Didi, Vice President, V.R.M & V.K. delivered a highly inspiring Presidential Address.

Key highlights from her address included:

 *   Didi reminded the students that the ultimate contribution of yoga is its spiritual power to connect the individual soul directly with God.

*​Moving beyond simple physical exercise, she urged students to take a solemn sankalpa to practice Yama in their daily lives.

*​She then provided the students with a practical, daily 30-minute wellness blueprint consisting of 15 minutes of Asanas, 10 minutes of Pranayama and 5 minutes of Meditation.

*​Concluding her address with national pride, she highlighted that yoga has caused the entire world to look towards India, emphasizing that true yoga extends far beyond the mat and must be practiced consciously for 24 hours a day.

​Following the Presidential Address, Smt. Uma Selvi Teacher, led a 35-minutes mass yoga protocol. Participants enthusiastically practiced a sequence of warm-ups followed by essential Asana such as Tadasana, Bhadrasana, Bhujangasana, Setubandhasana etc., The session concluded with Pranayama and a brief guided meditation for stress relief.

​Subsequent to the mass yoga session, the stage was graced by our distinguished Chief Guest Sri. L. Nalla Perumal, Professor, Diploma Yoga Sky.

*   He enlightened the audience on the global

​significance of International Yoga Day and how yoga serves as India's timeless gift to world health.

*​He especially addressed the students explaining how daily practice sharpens memory, enhances concentration, and builds discipline.

*​He emphasized that yoga is not just a one-day exercise routine but a conscious lifestyle choice that harmonizes the mind, body, and soul.

​Proceeding forward, the dignitary was presented with a memento, which was seamlessly followed by the formal vote of thanks by Ashwini of class IX and solemn chanting of the Kendra prayer.
