Jayanthi is an event centered around the Bhagavat Gita, celebrated in the Shukla
Ekadashi, the 11th day of the waxing moon of the Margashirsha month.
It was on this day that Lord Krishna conveyed the message of Gita to Arjuna in
the battle field of Kurushetra.
Gita Jayanthi celebration was
organised in our school on 14th December 2021. It was initiated at
10 a.m. with 3 om’karas and ShanthiManthra. The students along with the
teachers offered their humble pranams to Lord Krishna by chanting the slokas
from ‘The Bhagavat Gita’. The primary class students chanted the slokas from
“Gita for daily life” and the rest of the students chanted the slokas from the
11th chapter of “The Bhagavat Gita”. The celebration was concluded
with ‘ShanthiManthra’.
