SadhanaDiwas was celebrated in
our school on 19.11.2021 at 2.45 p.m. to pay our homage and gratitude to Mann.
EknathjiRanade, the man with Capital ‘M’ who lived up to the ideal ‘One life,
One Mission’. He has a special place in the little hearts of the people as a
man of humanity, founder of Vivekananda Kendra and his remarkable task ‘The
construction of Vivekananda Rock Memorial’.
The programme was initiated with an invocation by IX Std girls. The welcome address was delivered by M.S.AnushKumari of XI std. G.JanyNishmitha of XI std gave a short glimpse on the importance of the day. IX std girls sang a melodious song praising the master of the day,Man.EknathRanade.
Mann. HanumanthaRaoji, the Vice President of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra,presided the function that day. In his oration, he highlighted the holistic mission of Man. EknathRanade by overcoming all the obstacles that hindered its progress. He said that the Real Education is not related to marks but teach one to serve the society and spread the fragrance of love among the human beings and all living creatures around.
He advised the students to have a goal in life and lead a purposeful life like Swami Vivekananda and Mann. EknathRanade in serving the humanity. On account of the children’s day celebration, elocution and music competitions were conducted to bring out the innate talent of our students.
G.JanyNishmitha of XI Std who won the first prize in the music competition entertained the participants by her melodious song and N.P.Eshana of X Std presented her prize winning speech. The prizes were distributed to the winners by Mann. HanumanthaRaoji.
Vote of thanks was proposed by T.LakshmiSandhiya of X Std. Finally, the day came to a fine end by Kendra Prarthana.

Vijayadhasami marks the end of Navaratri festival and this day signifies the victory of good over evil and the time for all positive beginnings.
Vidhyarambham is a
Hindu tradition observed on Vijayadhasami day all over India. On this day, the
children are introduced into the world of knowledge, letters and process of
learning.
In our school, Vidyarambham celebration began on the fine morning of 15.10.2021 at 8.45 a.m. The ritual was initiated by Shri. R.Manikumar, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya with 3 Om’ Karas and ShanthiManthra.
The welcome address was delivered by Smt.T.Maheswari, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. Vidyarambham was carried out by Mann. Rekha Didi, Joint General Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra.
Mann. Rekha Didi held the right index finger of the children and made them write ‘Om’ on the fistful of rice placed in a large plate. She delivered a beautiful oration highlighting the importance of the day. She quoted the legendary hero, Swami Vivekananda who has sheltered in the minds of the people and is revered equal to God for his strong will power, positivity of thought and his valuable message.
She insisted us to have positive thoughts spread positive vibrations among the children, and guide them to unfold the obstacles that hinder their progress. The Pooja was performed by Smt.M.Nalarani, the Librarian of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. The floral obeisance was paid to Goddess Saraswathi by all the participants.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. K.Kavitha, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. Finally the day came to an end with Shanthi Mantra and distribution of prasadham to everyone present in the ritual.

On the auspicious day of Saraswathi Pooja, the staff of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya andNivedita Balwadi celebrated the day to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi, who showers us with abundant knowledge and wisdom.
The ritual started sharply at 9.30 a.m. with 3 Om’ Karas and and shanthi manthra. The day was graced with the presence of of the Secretary of VKVAPT, Mann. Aparna Didi and SusSus. Bhuvaneswari Didi.
All the participants sang SaraswathiVandhana to invoke the divine’s blessing. The Pooja wasperformed by Shri. R. Sundara Kumar, the teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya.The event came to a fine end with the distribution of prasadham to all the participants.

One of the most important occasions in the history of our school calender is Universal Brotherhood Day. 51st Anniversary of the dedication of Vivekananda Rock Memorial to the nation and Universal Brotherhood Day was celebrated in our school on 11th September to commemorate the historic speech of Swami Vivekananda at the “World Parliament of Religions” held at chicago, America on 11th September 1893.
The festivity started at 3.30 p.m. in the Eknath hall with the GayathriManthra followed by the lighting of the lamp by Mann. D.Bhanudasji, General Secretary of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra and Mann. Krishnamoorthiji, jeevanvridikaryakartha and the editor of ‘Vivekavani’. Shri. R.Manikumar, teacher invoked the blessings of the lord through a prayer song. A warm welcome was offered to all the participants by our Pricipal Shri.S.AbrahamLingom.
Mann. D.Bhanudasji graced the function and delivered a power pact speech on the importance of the day. In his oration, he highlighted that each nation has a destiny to fulfil and we must prepare ourselves for the development of the nation. He quoted Swamiji who remarked “Each soul is pontentially divine” and instructed us to manifest the pontential divinity within us.
He recalled Eknathji’s hard work and perseverance in the construction of Vivekananda Rock Memorial that stands majestically in the midst of the sea. He advised us to bring God in ourselves for the unity in the nation. He also instructed us to understand, remember, bring Swami Vivekananda in our lives, convey his rich message and play a role as good citizens of our nation. Chicago address was presented by I.Bavin of XII Standard.Some of our teachers sang a song praising the glory of Swami Vivekananda. Mann. Krishnamoorthiji also showered us with the words like pearls on this happiest occasion. He illustrated that Swami Vivekananda, “the crest jewel of India” was not a saint who lived in the past but a living legend whose words still serve as a motivation for the people.
He quoted Swami Vivekananda who said, “In the future, people will not see a man as intelligent as the one who has given us Bhagavat Gita” praising the rich moral values found in it. He also referred the book “YezhuminVizhumin” where Swami Vivekananda ha instructed us to feed the starve and help him to stand on his own legs when he comes for the next time. He also advised us to bring out our hidden potentials to set forth a drastic change in the society.
The staff who had completed 10,20 & 30 years of service in this service oriented organization were honoured by our dignitaries. Vote of thanks was proposed by our Vice Principal ,Smt.K.G.Sariga followed by the cultural programme of our teachers and students. The day came to a fine end with Kendra Prarthana led by Smt. S.Kalaivani, teacher. The programme was compered by Smt. T.Maheswari, teacher.

Festivals
educate, bring people together, break the monotony of routine and give us a
chance to energise our body, mind and spirit.
Ganesh Chathurthi is one of the Hindu festivals that marks the arrival of Lord Ganeshato the Earth who is considered the symbol of wisdom and the remover of obstacles. Ganesh Chathurthi was celebrated in our school on 10.09.2021 with the active participation of our Correspondent, Principal, Vice Principal & Teachers. We initiated the celebration sharply at 10 a.m. with 3 om’kars and shanthimanthra led by Shri. R.Manikumar, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. All the participants sang songs to fill the air with the divine blessings of Lord Ganesha.
Pooja was performed by Shri. R. Sundarakumar, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya and flowers were offered to Lord Ganesha by all the participants. Finally the day came to an end with the distribution of prasadham.

Behind every
successful person, a teachers’ contribution is significant an notable.
Teachers’ day is observed in India on 5th September,
the birth anniversary of Dr.SarvepalliRadha Krishnan who was a philosopher,
teacher the first Vice President of India and also the second President. We
celebrated Teachers’ day on 4th September in our school. We
initiated the celebration with 3 Om’kars and Shanti Mantra. Guru stothram was
led by Smt. K.G.Sariga, the Vice Principal of VKV. Our Principal Shri.
S.AbrahamLingom delivered the teacher’s day message. He instructed the teachres
to recall their teachers and get their blessings on this auspicious occasion
who helped to mould their life and personality. He also advised them to be
grateful to their parents for uplifting them to a higher position in life.
Finally he honoured the teachers with sweets and shawl. It was really a
wonderful day for all the techers.

laid down their lives so that our country is breathing this day”.
15th
August has a special significance in the history of our nation. It was on this
day, in 1947, India attained freedom from the strangle hold of the mighty
British. All the Indians pay their tribute to the freedom fighters who
sacrificed their lives and fought to free motherland.
The programme was compered by Smt.S.Prema, Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. We initiated our celebration in Vivekananda Kendra campus sharply at 8.30 AM by an invocation song ‘VandheMatharam’ by Sri.R.Manikumar , Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. We paid our salutation to our Mother Bharath by unfolding our tricolor flag. The flag was hoisted by Mann. H.Angirasji, Senior JeevanVrudhiKaryakartha of Vivekananda Rock Memorial & Vivekananda Kendra. National anthem was sung by all the participants followed by the pledge. The welcome address was delivered by Smt. R. Venkadeshwariteacher.

The teachers on Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya sang a patriotic song in our National language. Sri. R. Kannan, Teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya addressed the gathering on the importance of the day. He highlighted the invasions of foreign nations into our country, attracted by our wealth and the sacrifice of our freedom fighters to free India.
75th year Independence day sankalpa was presented by Smt. K.G. Sariga, Vice Principal in English followed by Smt. T.Maheswari, Teacher in Tamil. Vote of thanks was proposed byTeacher V.K. Bowya. The programme was concluded by Kendra Prarthana.

Guru Purnima, the festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers was celebrated in our school at 3.00 p.m on the 23rd of july 2021. The full moon day in the month of Ashadth of the Hindu calendar is celebrated as guru purnima. This day is also marked to pay our tribute to the great sage Vedavyasa who compiled the Vedas, eighteen puranas, the Mahabharatha and the Brahma Suthras.
The
programme was inaugurated by chanting 3 ‘om’ karas followed by the lighting of
the lamp by Mann.Praveenji, All India Treasurer of Vivekananda Rock Memorial
and Vivekananda Kendra. Smt. Uma selvi, Teacher of VKV invoked the divine
blessings of the almighty by an invocation song. The welcome address was
delivered by Smt.Geetha, Teacher of VKV.
“Guru is inspiration,guru is aspiration”. The teachers chanted guru stotram lead by Smt.Sariga, Vice Principal of VKV, Smt. Nallammal and Smt.Anuradha , Teachers of VKV to offer their salutations to the Lord, their spiritual guru.
The
presidential address was delivered by Mann.Pravenji, All India Treasurer of
Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra. He explained vividly the
meaning of ‘Guru’ and their role in bringing up the progress in the society. He
insisted the teachers to carry out the tradition to their future generation. He
brought to light the three stages of seva as propounded by Swami Vivikananda 1)
to provide the basic needs 2) to provide educational survival to the upcoming
children ie., they must earn the living by their own livelihood 3) to give
guidance by which the people understand “Who am I?”. He instructed the teachers
to aspire to be a teacher apart from their working hours. He quoted Sri
Ramakrishna who chose Swami Vivekananda as his vehicle to spread the culture of
“Sanadhana dharma”. He advised the teachers to follow the ideas said in the
lectures and work on it in their own way.
“Our
obligations to our country never cease but with our own lives”. On this special
occasion, we expressed our patriotic fervour by singing a patriotic song led by
Sri.Manikumar, Teacher of VKV.
The
teachers offered their salutations to their spiritual guru by offering the
flowers.
“A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles”. Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt.Sumathi, Teacher of VKV, to all the noble souls who took part in the celebration. The programme was concluded by Kendra prarthana.
