The tenth day of Navarathri celebrations is known as
Vijayadashami. It marks the triumph of
Matha Durga over Mahishasura.
Vidhyarambham is a Hindu tradition observed on Vijayadashami day all over India.
Children are formally
introduced the learning of music, dance, languages and other folk arts. It involves a ceremony of initiation into the
characters of syllabary.
Vivekananda
Kendra Vidyalaya celebrated Vidyarambham ceremony on 19th October
2018 in a grand manner. The ceremony
started at 8 a.m. Mann. Hanumantaraoji,
Treasurer of Vivekananda Kendra conducted the programme.
The staff, the teachers of Vivekananda
Kendra, Parents and Children participated in the ceremony. Vidyarambham was carried out by
Mann.Hanumantharaoji. Seven children
participated in vidyarambham. Mann.
Hanuji held the children’s right index under finger and guided them to write
‘OM’ followed up by alphabets over fistful of rice placed in a large plate.
Mann.
Hanumantaraoji addressed the participants about the importance of education and
the Hindu ritual being practicedthroughout India. Smt.K.Kavitha, teacher of Vivekananda Kendra
Vidyalaya delivered the Vote of thanks.
The ceremony ended with Santhimanthra.
