“Prayer helps us to develop our
potential strength and ability”. The
programme was initiated with the invocation song sung by the students of VIII
standard.
“Small cheer and great welcome makes
a merry feast”. Ananya V. Sathish, of IX
std extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, teachers, students and all the
viewers.
“A voice is a human gift. It should be cherished to say human speech as
possible”. Nigisha, of VIII Standard
presented her speech about “Guru Purnima” in Tamil.
“The beauty of woman is reflected in
her soul”. Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya
got a great chance to hear the message of Guru Purnima by Mann. Nivedita Didi,
Vice President of Vivekananda Kendra.
Her valuable message was read by Smt. P.Jeya, the teacher of Vivekananda
Kendra Vidyalaya.
“Music is the divine way to all
beautiful, poetic things to heart”. A
wonderful Guru song was sung by the students of VIII Standard.
The President of the celebration
Mann. Hanumanta Raoji, Treasurer of VRM & VK addressed the gathering. He
expressed that the celebration of Guru Purnima reflected our Indian culture and
civilization. He explained the
difference between successful life and purposeful life. He told all could become successful. But purposeful person should have the quality
of honesty, truthfulness, reverence to the country and all the people in our
nation. He advised the students to lead
a purposeful life. He spoke that the
education should be beneficial to the society and it should develop the
characters of every students. He
illustrated the names of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa for
the best Guru-Shishya relationship.
“The secret of winning any prize is
knowing that our own treasure and potential”.
The academic toppers as well as the teachers of X and XII standard were
awarded and honoured by Mann. Hanumanta Raoji and the Chief Guest.
We had an spiritual personality Swami Swarupananda
Maharaj, Ramakrishna Thabovanam, Thuraiyur as our chief guest addressed the
viewers. He narrated the story of
“Sathya devatha” which specified the essence of honest and truth. He illustrated the life of
“Harichandra”. He made the students to
say “Gayathri Manthra”. He advised the
students to practice the manthra daily.
He spoke that the students should follow the words of teachers and to
read the books of Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Mother
Saradha Devi. He explained the
significance of teachers.

Mann. Hanumanta Raoji, presented the
memento to the honourable Chief Guest.
“A grateful heart is a beginning of
greatness”. Vote of thanks was proposed
by Naveena, of IX standard.
The programme ended at 4 PM with
Kendra prayer.
