“Yoga adds years to your life
And life to your years”
‘International yoga day’ was
celebrated in our school premises amidst the pandemic situation to emphasize
the importance of inculcating our ancient Indian art in our lives and to bring
peace, harmony, happiness and success in the world.
The programme was initiated sharply at 6a.m with the lighting of the lamp by mann.Nivedita Didi, The Vice President of VRM & VK followed by prayer. A patriotic song was sung by our teachers to bring out the patriotic fervour amongst us.]
Yoga postures like Vajra asana, Trikona
asana, Bhujanga asana etc… were performed by the staff of VRM & VK and our
most respectable karyakarthas. We ended up our yoga performance by offering our
salutations to Patanjali Rishi, the father of yoga. Sankalpam was taken by all the participants.
Mann.Nivedita Didi presented a clear
cut picture of yoga and its importance in our daily lives. She remarked “Doing
exercise is not only yoga but doing our work in a disciplinary way and leading
a moral life is the real yoga”. She insisted us to have a regular practice of
yoga to have a control over our body and mind and spread the fragrance of
sweetness in the world. The programme ended with the Kendra prarthana. The
programme was hosted by Selvi.Ajitha, teacher of VKV.
