MOTHER’S DAY REPORT

            Our school feels proud to celebrate the mothers’ day. Celebration of this day is to make people understand the unique importance of mother. Mother is the only visible God on Earth Mothers’ Day was celebrated on 27^th February 2016.

            Mothers’ Day  began with invocation song that was sung by Smt. Lekshmi Thangam. The song was a fine beginning of the celebration. Followed by the song was the welcome address delivered by Smt.Nirmala.

            Importance of Mothers’ Day was spoke by Smt.Prabha, who pointed out the celebration of the day on SriRamakrishna’s birthday because he has laid more importance and respect towards his own mother, wife and women of the world. SriRamakrishna has mentioned women as “Shakthi Sorupam”.

            Followed by it was the prize distribution. Prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest Dr.K.Sivanthi,Dentist, to the mothers who participated in various competitions and won.

            Sharing the day’s experience was done by Smt.Subha and Smt.Maheswari. As mother and parent they felt  the day an important one. They expressed their joy on being a part of the celebration.

            Chief Guest Dr.Sivanthi stressed upon the sweet burden laid upon mothers to make their children the best .She advised the mothers to have a friendly relation with their children. It should be in such a way that the children should feel free to share everything with them.She  also as a dentist insisted mothers to make it a habit to brush twice a day. So that children too will occur that behavior. She stressed all the people to chew food well before swallowing . Also she insisted to bring in the habit of saving money.

            To make the day a memorable one to the Chief Guest, memento was presented by our  Principal to the Chief Guest.

            Vote of thanks was delivered by Smt.Prabhavathy. The function was ended with Kendra Prayer.
