The children’s day
celebration was held in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya on 14th
November 2025 with great joy and enthusiasm. The program began at 2 p.m. with
our Master of ceremony Kum.S.Ashiha.
Invocation:
The program began with a divine
invocation song,which was sung by the seventh standard boys. Their melodious
performance created a calm and devotional atmosphere marking a graceful start
to the children’s day celebration.
Welcome Address:
A warm welcome address was delivered
by Siva Abirami of class VIII. She welcomed the Chief guest, President of the
program, Principal,Vice - Principal,Teachers,Students and all the staff. She
expressed her happiness in inviting everyone to be part of the event.
Importance of the
Day:
The importance of the day was
presented by Kum.Sarva Rakshitha Sree of
4th standard. She explained that children’s day is celebrated
on 14th November every year to honour Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and
his love for children. She stressed that the day reminds everyone about the
value of childhood and the importance of education, care opportunities and
growth for all the children.
The handwritten magazine "VIVEKA MANJARI" was released by the Chief Guest.
Chief Guest
Address:
Smt.A.Mariammal,Asst.Professor
of Bussiness Management, Our chief guest
presented an inspiring and meaningful address.
In her speech, she warmly wished all
the students and congratulated the participants of the Science exhibition for
their hard work and creativity. She quoted
Swamiji Vivekananda’s very powerful thought. “All potential is already
within you” she encouraged the students to be always happy, stay confident and believe in their
abilities. She motivated the students to participate even more creatively in
next year’s Science exhibition. She reminded that students come to school not
just to study but to become great personalities. She beautifully explained
that,
* Hard work decides our happiness.
* When we give 100 % efforts, we
always receive good results.
* Many great personalities and
successful people started their lives with struggles.
She also quoted
Thiruvalluvar’s teachings emphasising discipline and effort. She urged students
to concentrate on the subjects and activities they are truly interested in
because interest leads to excellence.
* She appreciated the effective
communication system of VKV and praised the school for its value based
education.
* She reminded the students that
today’s society expects not only marks, but also skills, technology knowledge,
problem solving ability.
* She encouraged the students to build their abilities through
extra curricular activities, NCC,NSS and Sports.
* She shared an example of the
talking Tom creators, highlighting that we must have an ambition and work hard
physically and mentally to achieve it.
* She ended with a strong motivational
message. “Trying is the magic of victory. Try,try,trylyourbest.
Presidential
Address:
The presidential Address was delivered by
Mann.Rekha Didi, Joint Secretary of VRM & VK. Didi highlighted that
students should take part in every event without worrying about success or
failure.
* Several scientists’ lives were quoted to
show that dedication is more important than fear.
* Students were advised to use less cell
phones,live a purposeful life and focus on learning, discipline and character
building.
Presenting
memento to the chief guest:
A memento
was also presented to the chief guest, Smt.A.Mariammal by Mann.Rekha
Didi.
Vote
of Thanks:
The program concluded with a warm and
heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by M.B.Aarthi of Class 8th who thanked the chief guest, Principal,
teachers, participants and all students for making the celebration meaningful
and successful.
The programme concluded with the
Kendra Prarthana.
