INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2022

  Ø On 15th August 2022, we celebrated the completion of 75 years of Independence in our school. As an initiative to this celebration all our students from K.G. to 12th STD participated in the procession from our school to Vivekananda Kendra main entrance, holding the flags moving with the spirit of patriotism, praising our ‘Bharath Matha’.

Ø The celebration started with “Vande Mataram”.

Ø The tricolor flag was hoisted by our chief guest Dr.Pon Murugan. 

After hoisting the flag, National Anthem was sung by all the participants. Pledge was leaded by N.P.Hahina of Std IX.

Ø K. Nivetha of class 11th delivered the welcome address.

 Ø Students of class I to XII show cased 

    their physical fitness through mass drill.

Ø Students of classes 6th, 7th and 9th sang a melodious patriotic song in Hindi.

Ø S.Pratheesha of class 1th gave a speech in English regarding our 75th Independence day.

 Ø   Our chief guest Dr. Pon Murugan,, Joint secretary of Sivanthi Aathithanar  College, Nagercoil.

Key points of chief guest address.

  ·       He spoke about the freedom fighters who sacrificed their life for the freedom of our mother Bharath.

·       He also spoke about the freedom fighters of Tamil Nadu and their   inspiring stories.

·       In particular, he shared about the inspiring life of Chenbagaraman Pillai who coined the word, ‘Jai Hind’.

Ø Students of class 7th,8th & 9th sang a patriotic song in Tamil.

Ø R.Rasmitha of class 8th gave a speech regarding ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in Hindi.

Ø Sri. Radha Krishnanji, Admin Secretary of Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra gave the presidential address. He spoke about the freedom struggle and the importance of the freedom.



Ø Students of Std-VI to X enacted a Tamil drama from the life of freedom fighter Ondi Veeran.

Ø Students of classes VI, VII & VIII performed Yoga dance.

Ø  STD 6th to 8th students performed a fabulous dance with rhythmic beats using lezim.

Ø The young and energetic boys of Std VIII to XI performed the band display.

Ø M.S.Anushkumari of Std-XII sang a solo song about patriotism in Hindi.

  Ø  The students who scored 95 % and above in the academic year 2021-2022 were honoured by giving prizes.

  Ø Sri.Radha Krishnanji gave 

   away the memento to our chief guest.

Ø Vote of thanks was presented by R.Ahilya of Std- 9th.

                The celebration came to an end with Kendra prarthana.
