Ø  The Republic Day celebration was initiated with an invocation, “Vande Mataram”

Ø  Susri.Radha Didi,Dakshin Prant Sanghatak, VRM & VK unfurled the national flag fololowed by the National Anthem and pledge.

Ø  Kum.Sri Dharshini of class X delivered the welcome address.

Ø  Students of class IX dedicated a patriotic song to our mother Bharat in Hindi.

Ø  Kum.Nubisha of class VII orated the importance of the Republic Day enthusiastically.

Ø  Dazzling buds of VKV gave a visual treat by performing Karate and Silambam.

Ø  The school choir team presented a euphonious Bharathiyar song in mother tongue.

Chief Guest’s Address:

            Our honourable chief guest Sri.J.Pugal Neela Renga Swamy highlighted a few important points.

·         Initiated his speech by conveying Republic Day wishes to all.

·         On 26^th January,1950, India got Republic.

·         Bharat is considered to be the developing country.

·         Shared his experience of 35 years of service in TNEB.

·         Gave a clear cut idea about Induction motors and wind mills.

·         Described about the types of power stations which we have in India.

·         Motivated the students to use the opportunity and wished all to become winners in their future profession.

Our VKV students enacted a tamil drama from the life of Jaswant Singh Rawat. His life incidents made all the Indians to feel proud.

Presidential Address:

            Susri. Radha Didi, enlightened all of us on this special day.

·         Didi initiated her speech by appreciating the drama performance of the students.

·         Be a true patriot.

·         This is an opportunity to listen to the life of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

·         Be a good son,daughter and citizen.

·         Remember the contributions of great people.

·         Mother Bharat will bless us.

The inherent talents of our students were brought out by conducting E.A. competitions. Our honourable chief guest and Susri.Radha Didi honoured the prize winners.

Susri. Radha Didi presented a memento to Sri.J.Pugal Neela Renga Swamy as a token of love.

G.Charanjit of class VIII delivered the vote of thanks.

The celebration was concluded with Kendra Prarthana and sweets were distributed to all.
