GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATION REPORT-2023

·         Snekiya of class IX warmly welcomed the gatherings.

·          Guru Purnima celebration initiated with invocation by VII & VIII students.

·         Each and every one in the sabhagriham chanted guru stotram.

·         JeyaJoshika of class VII delivered the importance of the day in our mother tongue.

·    Students of class IX sung a melodious song which gave peace to our ears and heart.

·     Akshaya of class XI delivered the importance of Guru Purnima in English enthusiastically.

· Well wishers and ex-students of Vivekananda Kendra had offered scholarships to 

      encourage the students who excel in their academics. 

·   Chief guest Shri.C.Sajeevhanded over the scholarship cards.

·  The teachers who procured centum result in the previous academic year (2022-2023) 

    were also honoured by Mann.HanumantaRaoji, Vice President of VRM & VK.

·  Our honourable Chief guest Shri.C.Sajeev, Researcher  in computer science 

    and Engineering Department in M.S.University addressed the gathering.

 

Ø  Initially sir said, he admired our school environment, discipline, uniformity and 

      peacefulness of the students.

Ø  Swami Vivekananda’s quote “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached” was highlighted.

Ø  Guru gives light in our life.

Ø  Discipline and education must be considered as our two eyes.

Ø  He also quoted maathrudevo bhava, pithrudevo bhava, acharyadevo bhava.

Ø  He felt happy to be with us at this auspicious occasion.

·  Mann. HanumantaRaoji, Vice President of VRM & VK nourished the young minds by his fabulous speech.             

o   Utilization of guru’s knowledge, skill, wisdom should be used for higher purpose i.e., for entire universal growth.

o   He insisted to help others through our knowledge and skills, which gives confidence.

o   Guru enlightens the students with knowledge and guides them in the journey of life.

o   On Guru Purnima day, students express their heartfelt gratitude to their mentors.

o   Saranya of class IX expressed her gratitude to all the noble souls who took part in the celebration.

o   Guru Purnima celebration was concluded by Kendra prarthana.

International Yoga Day 2023 - 2024

Ø  The International yoga Day celebration began with invocation by the students of class VIII.

Ø  The gathering was warmly welcomed by Kum.R. DeviVarshana of class IX.

Ø  Akin Joel of class XII delivered a brief valuable speech on the significance of the day.

Ø  Smt.P.UmaSelvi teacher organised the Yoga session with-



Ø  Yoga prayer, few warm up exercises standing asana, sitting asana, prone asana, supine asana and pranayama.

Ø  Pathajali and Sankalpam was taken at the end.

Ø  The yoga session was concluded with shanthi mantra.

Ø  Mann.HanumantaRaoji, Vice President of V.R.M. & V.K. addressed the gathering.

Key points:

v  Regular practice of yoga will help the students achieve better mental and physical health.

v  Yoga is a complete science.

v  We must live in the Mother Bharath by respecting our parents, elders and nation.

v  Let us pray Mother Bharath, Sri Rama Krishna paramahama, Mann.Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda to give strength and commitment to practice yoga every day.

v  Kum.R.Rasmitha of IX std expressed her gratitude to everyone who put in a lot of efforts  to make the celebration a success.

v  The celebration concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

Day 1 (26/05/2023): Inauguration: Mann.Hanumanth Rao Ji, Vice President, VRM & VK. He suggested that


      • The teachers should play the role of parent, guardian and friends.
  • All the subject teachers are responsible for a student’s character.
  • If the teacher is creative, the child’s character is corrected.






  • Session I: Developing life skills or success skills by Dr.Pon Murugan, Joint secretary, Sivanthi Aditanar College. 
  • Session II:  Kendra Activities with respect to North East   - Sus. Meera Kulkarni

 



Day 2 (27/05/2023):
        • Session I: Best Way to Motivate the Students By Dr. J. Gandhi Ram, Academic Director, PSN Institute of Technology
  • Session II: Experience of Being a Responsible Teacher and Administrator of School by Mann. Rekha Didi, Joint general Secretary, VRM & VK
  • Visit to Vivekananda Rock Memorial



  




Day 3 (28/05/2023):
  • Session- I : Amrita Parivar by Smt. Thangalakshmi, Tamil Nadu Vibhag Pramuk, VK
  • Session –II : Watering the Roots by Mann. Rekha Didi, Joint general Secretary, VRM & VK

Day 4 (29/05/2023): 

       
  • Session-I: The Effect of Social and Emotional Learning on Student Well Being  by Shri. C. Sajeev, Researcher, Computer Science & Engineering  Dept, M. S. University.






Concluding Session: Mann. Balakrishnan Ji, President, VRM & VK
  o   In his speech he said,
  •  If you have love towards the children you can shape them.
  •   Teachers should not stop learning.
  • Only positive things should be taken to the children.                         
  • Pushparpan & Kendra Prarthana 

   Different topics from the book Indian Culture- Challenges & Potentialities were presented by all the teachers.

  • Chanting of Shanthipat and Ikya mantra was taught by Sus.Alakagauri  didi. 
  • Kendra varga was also conducted.
