She said, “Gita Jayanthi is the birthday of the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu Scripture, celebrated on the 11th day of the waxing moon in the month of Margashirsha. It commemorates the day Lord Krishna revealed the Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurashetra. It celebrates the message of dharma (duty), karma (action), and spiritual wisdom, guiding humanity toward righteous living. The Bhagavad Gita is considered the essence of vedic wisdom, offering guidance on spiritual, philosophical and practical aspects of life.

The students from 9th standard chanted the slokas and it was followed by all the students of classes V to IX.
