Personality Development Camp Report-2025

NO. OF PARTICIPANTS   : 76 + 5

            A total of 76 students took part in the personality development camp enthusiastically. This camp was mainly arranged to enhance the students’ confidence,communication,leadership skills. It encouraged positive thinking,discipline,co-operation and creativity. It helped the students to become more responsible and capable individuals in  their personal and academic life.

Day: 1(02/11/2025)

            * The students reported at 8 AM and camped in satyakam.

            * Smt.K.G.Sariga, the Principal of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya gave an introduction about this camp at 9.30 AM.

            Session I commenced at 10 AM. The honourable chief guest Smt.Sumitha narrated the stories related to Nayanmars. She insisted the students to follow the ideals of ‘Sahivam’. She interacted with the students and asked the questions. The students replied the answers actively.

            Session II started at 11.15 a.m. by Kum.Leela Akka(Rural Development of Vivekananda Kendra). She narrated “The incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda”. She inculcated the students to develop their spiritual knowledge.

            A patriotic song was sung by Kum.Leela Akka at 12.15 p.m.The students had their delicious lunch at 12.45 p.m.

            Session III was addressed by Smt.Chandra Kala at 2.00 p m. She narrated the epic “Mahabharatham”. She interacted with the students and asked the questions.

            Kendra Varga was conducted by Sri.R.Manikumar and smt.Chandra Kala. They taught loosening exercises and different games.

            * Bhajan Sandhya was at 6.30 p.m.

            * After the dinner, the day was concluded with happy assembly.

Day: 2 (03-11-2025)

            * The day started with prathasmaran.

            * Yoga was taught by Sri.R.Manikumari, Teacher.

            * The students did shramadan from 8.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.)

Session I started at 9.30 a.m.Dr.R.Sundarakumar,teacher of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya explained the obstacles faced by Mann.Eknathji Ranade to construct the Vivekananda Rock Memorial . He interacted with the students actively and the students paid full attention and noted some valuable points.

            Session II started at 11 a.m.Smt.Sumathi and Smt.Sutha narrated the epic “Ramayanam” with clarity. The students eagerly listened to the tale and answered the questions that were asked by the chief guests. After the session, both of them sang a patriotic song.They had the delicious lunch at 12.30 p.m.

            At 2.00 p.m.,the students visited ‘Vivekananda Rock Memorial’ with curiosity. They knew about the significance of ‘The Rock Memorial’, Sri padamandapam, Meditation hall and the divine statue of Swami Vivekananda. The students took a group photo and reached Satyakam at 4.45 p.m.

            * Followed by Bhajan Sandhya at 6.30 p.m., they had their dinner at 7.15 p.m. and the day concluded with the presentation of the students. They enacted from the incidents of Swami Vivekananda.

Day:3 (04/11/2025)

            The day began with prathasmaran at 6 a.m. Sri.R.Manikumar, Teacher practised ‘Surya Namaskar’ with chanting the mantra.

            The concluding session was handled by Sri.S.Sanjeevi Rajan,Vice-Principal of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. He addressed his valuable message and insisted the students to adopt the moral values.

            * The personality development camp concluded with memorable thoughts.

 











 

Children’s Day Celebration Report-2025

            The children’s day celebration was held in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya on 14^th November 2025 with great joy and enthusiasm. The program began at 2 p.m. with our Master of ceremony Kum.S.Ashiha.

Invocation:

            The program began with a divine invocation song,which was sung by the seventh standard boys. Their melodious performance created a calm and devotional atmosphere marking a graceful start to the children’s day celebration.

Welcome Address:

            A warm welcome address was delivered by Siva Abirami of class VIII. She welcomed the Chief guest, President of the program, Principal,Vice - Principal,Teachers,Students and all the staff. She expressed her happiness in inviting everyone to be part of the event.

Importance of the Day:

            The importance of the day was presented by Kum.Sarva Rakshitha Sree of  4^th standard. She explained that children’s day is celebrated on 14^th November every year to honour Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and his love for children. She stressed that the day reminds everyone about the value of childhood and the importance of education, care opportunities and growth for all the children.

        The handwritten magazine "VIVEKA MANJARI" was released by the Chief Guest.

Chief Guest Address:

            Smt.A.Mariammal,Asst.Professor of  Bussiness Management, Our chief guest presented an inspiring and meaningful address.

            In her speech, she warmly wished all the students and congratulated the participants of the Science exhibition for their hard work and creativity. She quoted  Swamiji Vivekananda’s very powerful thought. “All potential is already within you” she encouraged the students to be always  happy, stay confident and believe in their abilities. She motivated the students to participate even more creatively in next year’s Science exhibition. She reminded that students come to school not just to study but to become great personalities. She beautifully explained that,

            * Hard work decides our happiness.

            * When we give 100 % efforts, we always receive good results.

            * Many great personalities and successful people started their lives with struggles.

She also quoted Thiruvalluvar’s teachings emphasising discipline and effort. She urged students to concentrate on the subjects and activities they are truly interested in because interest leads to excellence.

            * She appreciated the effective communication system of VKV and praised the school for its value based education.

            * She reminded the students that today’s society expects not only marks, but also skills, technology knowledge, problem solving ability.

            * She encouraged  the students to build their abilities through extra curricular activities, NCC,NSS and Sports.

            * She shared an example of the talking Tom creators, highlighting that we must have an ambition and work hard physically and mentally to achieve it.

    * She ended with a strong motivational message. “Trying is the magic of victory. Try,try,trylyourbest.

Presidential Address:

      The presidential Address was delivered by Mann.Rekha Didi, Joint Secretary of VRM & VK. Didi highlighted that students should take part in every event without worrying about success or failure.

      * Several scientists’ lives were quoted to show that dedication is more important than fear.

      * Students were advised to use less cell phones,live a purposeful life and focus on learning, discipline and character building.

Presenting memento to the chief guest:

      A memento  was also presented to the chief guest, Smt.A.Mariammal by Mann.Rekha Didi.

Vote of Thanks:

      The program concluded with a warm and heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by M.B.Aarthi of Class 8^th  who thanked the chief guest, Principal, teachers, participants and all students for making the celebration meaningful and successful.

            The programme concluded with the Kendra Prarthana.        

 

 

SADHANA DIWAS CELEBRATION AND SCIENCE AND ARTS EXHIBITION CONCLUSION-2025

Venue: Swami Vivekananda Sabhagriham,Vivekanandapuram.

 

‘Sadhana Diwas’ is an annual celebration observed on November 19^th to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mananeeya Eknathji Ranade. Eknathji Ranade was the founder of Vivekananda Kendra, a spiritually oriented service organisation and the driving force behind the construction of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari.

 

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary school, Kanyakumari organized the Sadhana Diwas celebration and the concluding ceremony of the
Science and Arts Exhibition on 19^th November 2025. That event was held at Swami Vivekananda Sabhagriham at 2.00 p.m. The entire event was hosted by Charanjit of Class-IX.

 

Invocation:

The function began with a prayer song rendered by the students of Class-VII. The invocation created calmness and spiritual atmosphere for during the programme.

Welcome Address:

* L.Samiksha of Class-VII delivered the welcome address.

* She extended a warm welcome to the Chief guest,dignitaries,teachers,parents and students.

* She briefly introduced the purpose of Sadhana Diwas and Science exhibition.

Importance of the Day:

* Wiranjan of Class-IX explained the importance of Sadhana Diwas.

* He highlighted how the day inspires discipline,dedication and self improvement.

Students Presentations:

* J.Sarva Rakshithasri, the winner of music competition sang the song a melodiously.

* J.S.Mathu Varshini, the winner of the elocution competition delivered her speech on the topic “Digital India”.

Chief Guest’s Address:

* The Chief Guest Dr.T.C.Mahesh, Principal of Vivekananda College,Agasteeswaram addressed the gathering.

* He spoke about the ideals of Sadhana Diwas and relevance in daily life.

* He explained about the leaders like Jeya Prakash Narayan, Nanaji Deskmuk and appreciated their disciplined lifestyles.

* He quoted Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts on Sadhana and explained .

* Life is full of challenges. We should make  them Sadhana.

     * Discipline, respect and helping others should be practised daily.

* He appreciated the value-based education of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya.

* He congratulated all the students who participated in the Science Exhibition.

Music:

* Students of Class-VII presented a beautiful song that enriched the programme.

 

Presidential Address:

* Aa.Radha Didi, President of the function addressed the gathering.

* She shared that all branches of Vivekananda Kendra and all Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas across the country are celebrating Sadhana Diwas in an inspiring manner.

* She spoke about the importance of observing this day with devotion, discipline and dedication.

* Radha Didi highlighted her special experience with Class:-VI students of V.K.V.,Kanyakumari who visited Gangotri located in the Vivekananda Kendra campus.

* She explained that during the visit the children learned,

* The meaning of Gangotri.

* Where it is located and why it holds spiritual importance.

* She happily mentioned that the students asked many questions with great curiosity and enthusiasm, showed their eagerness to learn about the cultural and spiritual heritage of the place.

* She also expressed deep condolence on the passing of Chembi Ammal, acknowledging her service and offering heartfelt prayers for peace.

* She further appreciated Smt.Chembi Ammal for her dedicated contributions and praised her as a kind and loving soul.

* She also appreciated and congratulated all the Science Exhibition participants and expressed gratitude to the teachers and mentors who guided and helped the students in preparing their exhibits.

* she concluded by reminding everyone that the ultimate aim of education is to become a good,responsible and compassionate human being.

Prize Distribution:

* Prizes for various events including the Science Exhibition and Children’s Day competitions were distributed by the Chief guest Dr.T.C.Mahesh and Aa.Radha Didi.

* The achievers and participants were congratulated and appreciated.

Presenting Memento:

* A memento was presented to the Chief Guest by Aa.Radha Didi.

* This was a gesture of gratitude and respect for his presence and inspiring words.

Vote of thanks:

* Carlie Maria of Class-IX proposed the vote of thanks.

* She expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest,President of the function, Principal,Vice -Principal,Teachers,Participants and all contributors who made the programme successful.

Kendra Prarthana:

* The event concluded with the soulful Kendra Prarthana.

* The entire celebration ended on a peaceful and inspiring note.
