v Vinayaga Chaturthi is one of the important Hindu festivals celebrated throughout India with a great devotion.

v  He is the lord of arts and science and the deva of wisdom.  He is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies as he is considered the God of beginnings.

v   Vinayagar Chaturthi was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kanyakumari in an auspicious manner.  Every year, our Vidyalaya celebrates the festival by making the idol of Lord Ganesa with dedicative effort of the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. 

v  The Vinayaga Chaturthi was celebrated from 07-09-2024 to 12.09.2024. 

v  Every class got a chance to give their offerings to Lord Ganesha. 

v  It was celebrated in the following schedule

· 07-9-2024: Standard IX and XI

· 08-9-2024: Standard VII and VIII

· 09-09-2024: Standard LKG and UKG

· 10-09-2024: Standard I, II and III

· 11-09-2024: Standard IV, V and VI

·  12-09-2024: Standard X and XII

v The students offered flowers and Prasatham.  The Visarjan of Lord Ganesa was done at 11.30 a.m on 12.09.2024. 

v The celebration ended with the great blessings of Lord Ganesa whose brilliance always removes all obstacles from our endeavours truly.

 

 

UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD DAY CELEBRATION REPORT-2024

The programme was initiated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dias followed 

by invocation song, “Vante Mataram”.

The event commenced with the welcome speech and school report presented by 

our respected principal Smt.K.G.Sariga Teacher.

Swamiji’s Chicago speech at the parliament of religions on Sep.11^th 1983 was 

delivered by our student G.Charanjit of class VIII.

Chief Guest’s Address:

Dr.C. SEKAR, M.Sc.,M.Phil.,Ph.D.,shared points;

· Additional information about Swami Vivekananda, who had interest in Geography, 

Literature and games.

· Knowledge is very important.

· Shared about the three days meditation which was done by Swami Vivekananda                                                                               

· Gave information about past, present and future.

· Appreciated the Chicago speech which was presented by our student.

· Concluded his speech by describing the story of a Nobel prize winner, Robbie.

Ø The students of class VIII, sang a melodious Sanskrit song which made the 

place to be filled with peace.

Special Guest’s Address:

Dr.R.RAMESH, M.A.,B.Ed.,M.Phil.,Ph.D., shared point;

· Described the meaning of children as happiness.

· Brief explanation about swamiji’s Chicago speech.

· Stressed about patriotism and spirituality.

· Live your life for others.

Ø The Kendra Employees and VKV staff who had successfully completed their 10 and

 20 years of service were honoured by Mann.D.Bhanudas Ji,General Secretary, VRM. & VK.

· Expressed his views about Sanatana Dharma.

· Sanatana Dharma is used instead of Hindu Dharma.

· Traditional outlook of Hinduism.

· Described about Amritasya Putra.

Ø Mann. Bhanudas Ji presented they memento to the Chief guest and the special Guest.

Ø Sri.S.Sanjeevi Rajan sir, Vice Principal of VKV school expressed the gratitude to all 

for their presence.

Ø After the formal function, cultural event was organised and hosted by Kum.Mahima of 

class IX in Tamil and Kum.Akshana of class IX in English.

Ø The cultural programme was commenced with Bharathanatyam followed by 

Karakattam, Drama in English, Folk dance, Tamil song, Drama in Tamil and 

Variety dance. Our students showed their talents by performing gracefully.

Ø The Universal Brotherhood Day celebration was concluded with Kendra Prarthana.

 

 

Teachers Day Celebration - 2024

 *The teachers day meeting was initiated by three ohmkars, sahanavavathu and guru song by Manikumar sir. Smt.P.Jeya teacher welcomed the gathering.

* The meeting was presided by Sri. Krishnan sir.

· Teaching is the noblest profession.

· Teachers don’t feel jealous on the growth of their students.

· He quoted Swami Vivekananda’s quote “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”.

· He feels proud of having worked in our school and recalled the golden moments.

· Teachers were appreciated for their duty.

*The Chief Guest was honoured by our correspondent sir, Mr.SubbiahNadar.

*All the teachers were honoured and got the blessings from our Chief Guest.

*The meeting concluded with Shanti mantra.

*The students performed their role as student-teachers.

*The student-teachers, S.Infant Fiano of class XI A acted as Correspondent, X. Casilda Crosslin of class XI A acted as Principal, K.R.Mathu Sree and S.Anbu Mathiya acted as Vice Principal and performed their role perfectly well and gave a speech about this auspicious day.

*Few student-teachers shared their experience enthusiastically.

*The best student-teachers were awarded by our Dr. R.Sundara Kumar sir.

*The teachers day celebration was a grand success.
