GITA JAYANTHI CELEBRATION -2022

This year the Gita Jayanthi was on 3rd Dec, 2022.  We celebrated in our school on 2nd Dec, 2022.  Bhagavad Gita is the gist of Mahabarat.  If we want to live nobly, successfully and purposefully then the study of the Gita is must.  Gita is the book for living.  We celebrate Gita Jayanthi because Gita contains the philosophy of our culture, of our organization, of our work.We started with three ‘Omkaras’ at 10.30 am.  Twelve students from 7th and 8th standard chanted the slokas and it was followed by students of standard 1 to 12.


Eknathji used to say,‘Opportunities are Duties’.  According to his quote, we utilized this opportunity on Gita Jayanthi, chanted the slokas and got the blessings of Sri Krishna.

Sadhana Diwas Celebration Report - 2022

·        On 19-11-2022 Birthday of Mann.EknathjiRanade, founder of Vivekananda Kendra and Vivekananda Rock Memorial (SadhanaDiwas) and the concluding ceremony of Science and Arts Exhibition was celebrated.

·        The program was hosted by Rishima of XI B.

·        The program began with invocation sung by class 7 boys.

·        The welcome address was presented by MariyaRashmi of X A.

·        The importance of SadhanaDiwas was presented by C.R.Aparna of XI B.

·        The students of class 7 and 8 sang a beautiful song on,Eknathji.

 Ø The key points of Chief Guest address

v He spoke about the origin of light house.

v The importance of light house, its principles and how it functions.

v He quoted, “Education is more important for life”.

·        Nubisha of class V and Lakshaya of LKG also sang the prize winning songs.

·        P.Akshaya of class IX presented the prize winning speech on the story of Rock Memorial.

Ø The key points of Presidential address

v He spoke about SadhanaDiwas and its importance.

v He narrated various incidents from the life of Eknathji.

v He quoted “Children are future of India and their all round development is essential.

·        Prizes were distributed to the winners of the competitions conducted on account of children’s day celebration.

·        Aa.Avinashji presented a memento to the Chief Guest.

·        Vote of thanks was proposed by B.Priyadarshan of X A.

·        The program came to an end with Kendra Prarthana.

On 14-11-2022 Children’s day celebration and inauguration of Science and Arts Exhibition was celebrated in our school.

·        Science and Arts Exhibition was inaugurated by Sri.Umayorubhaganand Mann. Rekha Didi.

·        The program was hosted by SisterT.N.Rithu of class VIII.

·       The children’s day program was initiated with invocation song by boys of class VII & VIII.

·        The welcome address was delivered by Sister Cassilda Crosslin of class IX B.

·        The importance of the day was presented by Sister N.P.Hahina of IX C

·        The handwritten magazine “Viveka Manjari” was released by the Chief Guest.

The key points of Chief guest address

Ø Young children are the makers of future India.

Ø Research is the base of development.

Ø Science and spirituality are the same. Only if it merges together our country will develop.

Ø Scientific development is essential for the growth of our country.

The key points of the presidential address

Ø Each one of us should contribute for the growth of our country.

Ø Students have to put forth their complete interest in their performance.

Ø All round development of the children is important.

Saraswathi Pooja Celebration - 2022

·        On 04-10-2022 Saraswathi pooja was celebrated in our school.

·        The importance of the day was presented by Smt.S.SelvaNithya, teacher.

·        All the participants chanted Sri.Mahishasuramardhini Stotram and sang devotional songs.

·        Pooja was offered to goddess Saraswathi, at the end of the celebration prasatham was distributed.

Vinayagar Chathurthi Celebration report-2022

Vinayaga Chaturthi is one of the important Hindu festivals celebrated throughout India with a great devotion. Vinayaga Chaturthi is celebrated for ten days to honour the elephant headed Lord Ganesa’s birthday. 

v  He is the lord of arts and science and the deva of wisdom.  He is honoured at the start of rituals and ceremonies as he is considered the God of beginnings.

v   Vinayagar Chaturthi was celebrated in Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kanyakumari in an auspicious manner.  Every year, our Vidyalaya celebrates the festival by preparing the idol of Lord Ganesa with dedicative effort of the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya. 


v  The Vinayaga Chaturthi was celebrated from 31-08-2022 to 07.09.2022. 

v  Every class got a chance to give their offerings to Lord Ganesha. 

v  It was celebrated in the following schedule

o   31-08-22: Standard IX and XI

o   01-09-2022: Standard LKG and UKG

o   02-09-2022: Standard I and II

o   03.09.2022 : Standard VII

o   04.09.2022 : Standard VIII

o   05.09.2022: Standard III and IV

o   06.09.2022: Standard V and VI

o   07.09.2022: Standard X and XII

The students offered flowers and Prasatham.  The Visarjan of Lord Ganesa was done at 10.30 am on 07.09.2022. 

v  The celebration ended with the great blessings of Lord Ganesa whose brilliance always removes all obstacles from our endeavours truly.



Teachers Day Celebration Report -2022

 

Venue: Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya

“A gifted teacher is not only prepared to meet the needs of today’s child, but is also prepared to foresee the hopes and dreams in every child’s future.”               


Behind every successful person, a teachers’ contribution is significant and notable. Teachers’ day is observed in India on 5th September, the birth anniversary of Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was a philosopher, teacher, the first Vice President of India and also the second President. We celebrated Teachers’ day on 5th September in our school. We initiated the celebration with 3 Om’kars and Shanti Mantra. Guru stothram was led by Shri.Manikumar, Music Teacher of VKV. Our Principal Smt.K.G.Sariga delivered the teacher’s day message. She instructed the teachers to recall their teachers and get their blessings on this auspicious occasion who helped to mould their life and personality. 

She also advised the teachers to understand the feelings of the children and teach them in that way to flourish in their life. Finally the Corresspondent honoured the teachers with sweets and shawl. Students of VI to IX were given chance to enact as teachers. It was really a wonderful day for all the teachers.

Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration-2022

Chief Guest: His Excellency P.S.Sreedharan Pillai, Hon’ble Governor of Goa.

v On 11th September 2022, Universal Brotherhood day and 52nd anniversary of the dedication of the Vivekananda Rock memorial to the nation was celebrated in our school.

v The program was hosted by Smt.P.Jeya, Teacher of VKV.

v The program began with an invocation song Vanthe mataram followed by Tamilthai vazhthu sung by students of STD IX.

v The welcome address was delivered by Sri.Sanjeevi Rajan, Vice Principal of VKV.


 Mann.Balakrishnanji, President of VRM and VK felicitated the Chief Guest by presenting a memento.

 v The Presidental address was delivered by Mann.A.Balakrishnanji, President of VRM and VK.

§  He said that Hindu dharma is the mother of all nations.

§  We believe that entire universe is our family.

§  He also quoted Swami Vivekananda who said that in 50 years, India will attain its freedom and these predictions became the truth.

§  He insisted that India will become Hindu Rashtra by 2047.

§  We all should practice Tyaga and seva, only then our Bharath Matha will become the jagath Guru.


 

 v Annual report was presented by Smt.K.G.Sariga, Principal of VKV.


Special guest address was presented by MLA of Kanyakumari constituency Sri. Thalavai Sundaram

  v He insisted that every one of us should follow the path of Swami Vivekananda to enrich ourselves and make our country to be the mother of all nations.

v Chief Guest address was delivered by His Excellency P.S.Sreedharan Pillai ,Hon’ble Governor of Goa.


 Our country has its own tradition and culture which promotes harmony among the people.

§  He said that our Kanyakumari is remembered in the name of Swami Vivekananda.

§  India is a country with rich heritage.

§  He insisted the students that we have to understand the prosperity of our country and work for its empowerment.

v The meeting concluded with National Anthem.

 v After the meeting session, cultural programmes of our students were performed.
